March’09 Feature: “Entertainment’s Death Is Near” (plus a behind the feature look)…

The empire known as entertainment is broken, yet one man vows to deliver what draws audiences to rocking and rolling without missing a beat. Through the eyes of a recording and performing artist whose been exiled to the lands of uncertainty, this portrayal reminds everyone of what happens when we all forget the magic behind the music.

The questionIs entertainment’s death near?

A look behind the feature

“They’re all wondering if entertainment’s death is near – The labels, the musicians, the publishers, the distributors, the critics; the how-to jockey’s…even the president from what I’ve heard. There is an ultimate decision to ponder ‘who the *censored* cares?’ and then, there is a decision to try and solve ‘the problem’ according to many of the self appointed experts.”

“F that…”

“Where is all the ‘good’ music about this and more importantly, where is all the ‘great’ music about this? I don’t know and I don’t care because I’ve got a few numbers for anyone who wants to bang their heads so hard that they’ll end up with whiplash.”

“I find the debates, arguments, threads, blogs, and rants to be silly and mostly immature. Frankly, I just don’t care. Not because I’m insensitive or trying to ignore facts, I’d rather write music about it, connecting with the world through what I do best.”

“I figure that if you take a Billy Corgan like position, you might as well pull the trigger and be done with it.”
